The clock’s faceted geometric form is created through the precision of V-cut processing—a technique in which V-shaped blades cut grooves into the board, allowing it to fold into rigid, seamless forms.

The rich colors and tactile surface of the material bring a warmth and softness that cannot be achieved with molded plastic products.
Available in two designs—12SIDED (dodecagon) and 8SIDED (octagon)—each features its own unique dial design.

Compact enough for a desk, side table, or shelf, yet bold enough to make a distinctive presence in any interior.

Under the project titled [ EDITION ], SIKIGU explores new possibilities in paper craftsmanship through encounters with innovative materials, cultures, and creators.

For this limited edition, we developed a unique board made by shredding paper discarded during our manufacturing process—paper laminated with metallic films that is difficult to recycle—and combining it with reclaimed textiles before compressing it into a rigid composite material. This special board is then precisely processed using our V-cut technique.

While the board alone did not provide sufficient toughness for long-term durability, we discovered an ideal solution by laminating it with Tengujo-Paper, one of the world’s thinnest traditional Japanese papers (washi). Despite being thin enough to transmit light, Tengujo is remarkably strong and is even used in the conservation of Buddhist sculptures and cultural heritage. Its exceptional compatibility with the material made it the perfect reinforcement while preserving the beauty of the surface.
